yamtrack v0.1.0

Media

Yamtrack — a self-hosted media tracker for movies, TV, anime, manga, video games and books (a Trakt / Simkl alternative): track what you watch and play, with ratings and progress. Deployed as an all-in-one host-networked Nomad job (the app on SQLite + a Redis sidecar for background tasks).

nomad-pack run yamtrack --registry nomploy
…or one line (add registry + run)
curl -fsSL https://packs.nomploy.com/install.sh | sh -s -- yamtrack

Needs nomad-pack on PATH. The script only adds the nomploy registry and runs this pack.

Back up this pack

This pack stores data in one Docker named volume: yamtrack_db

⚠ This pack bundles a database. A cold copy of the volume can be inconsistent — for a reliable backup, dump the DB (pg_dump / mysqldump) or stop the job while backing up.

restic

# Run on the node hosting this pack. Point restic at your repo first:
# export RESTIC_REPOSITORY="s3:https://<account>.r2.cloudflarestorage.com/<bucket>"
# export RESTIC_PASSWORD="<repo-password>"
# export AWS_ACCESS_KEY_ID=<key> AWS_SECRET_ACCESS_KEY=<secret>
restic backup \
  /var/lib/docker/volumes/yamtrack_db/_data

rclone (sync to S3/R2)

rclone sync /var/lib/docker/volumes/yamtrack_db/_data backup:<bucket>/yamtrack_db

Paths assume the default Docker volume location (/var/lib/docker/volumes). Restore by stopping the job, restoring files into the same volume, and re-running the pack.

Readme

yamtrack

Yamtrack is a self-hosted media tracker for movies, TV, anime, manga, video games and books — a Trakt / Simkl alternative. Track what you watch and play, with ratings, progress and statistics.

This pack runs Yamtrack all-in-one as a single host-networked Nomad job:

Both share the host network and talk over 127.0.0.1, so no mesh networking is required. Database migrations run automatically on first start.

Quick start

nomad-pack run yamtrack --registry=nomploy

Then open http://<node-ip>:8000 and create the first account.

Configuration

Variable Default Notes
port 8000 Web UI host port
secret change me Session signing key — keep stable
redis_port 6379 Bundled Redis (loopback)

Change secret to a long random value before deploying anywhere real and keep it stable. Add a TMDB / IGDB / MyAnimeList API key in the app settings to enable metadata lookups. Data persists in the yamtrack_db named volume.
